Poker winnings

January 27th, 2008 at 12:02 am

It's been a long time since I've been on the felt and played some poker. The night started with 28 players in the no rebuy tournament. Didn't do so well and played horribly with the scrub hands I was dealt. After 2 hours, I was out with 15 players remaining. I had some tough beats so I know the last 2 hands were tilt. I was down $35 for the entry fee already. The cash game started slow but as we changed the games up. I started to win some big pots. Took home $50 so a profitable night of $15.

Good job. At least you left a winner.

I'm itching to hit the casino as I haven't been there since Thanksgiving. Our daughter is doing an all-day trip with the youth group in 2 weeks so I'm hoping we can head down to AC that day.

disneysteve, I haven't been to Vegas in 3 years. I miss it and I don't, but working for those comps are worth it.

Mr. Meager - Our last time in Vegas was August, 2005. But we only live an hour from Atlantic City. And I'm about 25 minutes from Harrah's Chester in PA which has video blackjack which is fun, too, but the place is not smoke-free so it isn't nearly as enjoyable as Atlantic City.

I've been meaning to get back into online poker after all the rift about offshore money transfer gets cleared up. I wonder if I can turn that into a $20 challenge kind of thing, though I really don't understand that change.
